The V6 TDI is a perfect match
for the Q7’s luxury SUV personality. In fact, the Q7 will be the most posh diesel SUV on the market when it arrives next year.

More than any other car I’ve driven, the Q7 is what it is — and it’s not going to adapt to make you happy. It’s a car I recommend taking for a long test drive before buying, to be sure you can live with it.

Like mimes and men’s turtlenecks, clean diesel vehicles have been popular in Europe for a while. Jury’s out on whether or not they’ll catch on here, but if the upcoming diesels perform as solidly as the Q7 TDI, I hope to see more of them.

We’d take the 2009 Audi Q7 3.0 TDI over the more expensive gasoline V8, and that’s saying a lot. Clearly, the new crop of clean diesels is the real deal.

I’m not the only one who loved the Audi Q7. My kids swore it was the “comfiest car ever” and wanted to know if we could buy one. Sorry, kiddos, but $62,375 for my test car is out of our price range.
