The three-row 2012 Buick Enclave crossover SUV is an excellent choice for families who want minivan functionality along with classy styling and a luxurious interior.

Given its relative age, the Enclave remains one of the most attractive vehicles on the road, and offers full-size luxury with room to stretch out and enjoy your trip.

The Buick Enclave is a smooth and luxurious family hauler. Roomy and comfortable, it seats six or seven. It has a nice, smooth ride, and its modern V6 engine provides smooth power and good fuel economy for a vehicle this large.

The Buick Enclave CXL features a 3.6-liter V-6 that pulls almost as strong as a V-8, and it features plenty of legroom and cargo space. The entire interior was well-conceived and put-together.

The Enclave is big and roomy, but more importantly, it largely deliverers on the promise of a Buick that can compete with the likes of Lexus and Acura. It’s a fine luxury cruiser with the refinement, power and amenities to take on even the most battle-hardened luxury crossover veterans.

The 2011 Enclave remains one of the most attractive full-size crossovers available today, and the ride is appropriately cushy. There’s still work to be done, though, before the Enclave can be considered world class.

If you appreciate the refinement of a luxury car but also need the flexibility of a crossover SUV, we think you’ll like the 2010 Buick Enclave. It offers the image of owning a luxury vehicle, yet at a more affordable price than many of its competitors.

For our money, we’d sacrifice some bling and isolation for a better drive. Still, there’s something to be said for the Buick Enclave’s styling and bank-vault-quiet cabin; watch the options, and you can end up satisfied.

While the Enclave is certainly not out-classed by its competition, we feel that it falls short of Buick’s maximum potential.

The Enclave remains perhaps the best-looking large crossover on the road, but the more time I spent in it, the more I noticed a kind of slightly-behind-the-times content.
