The CTS-V Wagon is damn impressive. A rear-wheel drive, three-pedal, 556 horsepower station wagon comes around only once in a lifetime. How can you fault a station wagon that spanks a BMW M3 at a stoplight when it can also bring home nineteen bags of mulch?

The Cadillac CTS-V’s edges are sharp but polished. It’s bejeweled but understated. It’s a combination of contradictions that feels surprisingly balanced. This is truly the Cadillac of sports sedans.

The 2011 CTS-V Sport Wagon is the kind of car that makes you forget you’re running errands and instead makes you feel like the world is as conquerable as picking up your dry cleaning.

The CTS-V wagon is the limited-production V version of Cadillac’s excellent CTS wagon. That means the car gets the V’s supercharged 6.2-liter V8. The interior is among the best we’ve seen from General Motors with high-class materials and controls that feel robust. Well done.

Any complaint we have about the CTS-V Coupe is minor at best. This Motown muscler does just about everything right. If you can keep the tank full, this is certainly one of the best driver’s cars on the road today.

The 2012 Cadillac CTS-V is by far the most powerful station wagon you can buy. Anybody looking for a fast, lovely and practical luxury car will have a hard time topping it.

The Cadillac CTS-V isn’t exactly cheap. However, when you consider that it comes with a supercharged V-8 that will make many supercars jealous, you’ll quickly start to realize just how much performance per dollar you’re getting.

The Coupe is priced heads-up with the sedan at $62,990 plus a mandatory gas-guzzler charge. It really has no competition in the marketplace, so if you want one, feel free to take the plunge. I’d buy the wagon and pay the 200-pound weight penalty, since the Coupe is tight for me.

The bottom line is that nothing on the road in the same price range can match the CTS-V Coupe’s raw speed and radical looks. If those are your priorities, this car is definitely worth inspecting.

The CTS-V coupe is the two-door version of the sedan that was tuned on the famed Nürburgring circuit in Germany. On the other hand though, this Cadillac coupe is a perfectly gentle giant of a car that won’t beat you up after a stint behind the wheel.

Public perception aside, the emotions are what matter, and the emotions are nice. The CTS-V coupe makes me proud to come from this country, proud to not be evil. It’s a kid-hauling Corvette for the person who wants a fun, fast car with no stigmas or strings attached.
