The Cadillac CTS-V Wagon is serious. Serious about performance despite also being serious about luxury accomodations. Serious about value. Serious about style though it can haul the kids and the groceries better than any sedan.

If it weren’t for the poor fuel economy, the 2011 Cadillac CTS-V Coupe would work well as both a weekend racer and a daily commute car, combining exceptional sport performance with practical cabin tech.

Any complaint we have about the CTS-V Coupe is minor at best. This Motown muscler does just about everything right. If you can keep the tank full, this is certainly one of the best driver’s cars on the road today.

The Coupe is priced heads-up with the sedan at $62,990 plus a mandatory gas-guzzler charge. It really has no competition in the marketplace, so if you want one, feel free to take the plunge. I’d buy the wagon and pay the 200-pound weight penalty, since the Coupe is tight for me.

Take your blood pressure medicine, folks – the CTS-V Coupe is here. And it does a lot more than simply zig or zag – it utterly dominates the high-powered sports coupe segment.

If you’re looking for a coupe and put high stock in style and potent performance, the CTS-V coupe is ideal. Nothing looks quite like it on the road and it garners plenty of praise from people in parking lots and at stoplights.

The question remains whether buyers of high-performance cars that cost substantially more will find the CTS-V’s stunning performance a compelling reason to change their loyalties. Those potential buyers should get behind the CTS-V’s wheel. We bet it’ll open eyes.

For a price that starts at $62,165, no other car can touch the 2011 Cadillac CTS-V Coupe for sheer performance. And the CTS-V represents an improvement in refinement and composure over the CTS Coupe, not just power and performance.

You may remember cars from the ’50s and ’60s like the Hemi-powered Chrysler 300 and the 421 Pontiac Bonneville. The CTS-V Coupe may be the contemporary spiritual successor to those classics – with the ruthless soul of a BMW M5.

The CTS-V is a lot of money for a Cadillac, but you’re getting a world-class performance car with looks that you will never, ever see coming from Germany, Japan, or South Korea

The CTS-V Coupe is F-U-N. Blend massive power with glee-inducing handling, wrap it in a polarizing exterior design, throw in a cabin that needs a bit more love and sell it all for peanuts, and that, friends, is a Nissan GT-R with a Cadillac badge.
