Though its practicality is disappointing, the 2012 Cadillac CTS-V Coupe delivers a combination of world-class performance, style and value that’s tough to beat.

The Cadillac CTS-V Wagon is serious. Serious about performance despite also being serious about luxury accomodations. Serious about value. Serious about style though it can haul the kids and the groceries better than any sedan.

For a price that starts at $62,165, no other car can touch the 2011 Cadillac CTS-V Coupe for sheer performance. And the CTS-V represents an improvement in refinement and composure over the CTS Coupe, not just power and performance.

If you are looking for the go with some style under 70K, the Cadillac CTS-V Coupe is a great buy. Cadillac didn’t manage to build a world class luxury car again, what they did build is one hell of a performance buy.

For those who aren’t bothered by paying twice as much to fuel their car, and can afford to feed it premium unleaded several times a week, the CTS-V coupe is a stylish, extremely capable car with more muscle than some race cars.

Edgy, rakish, pumped, the Cadillac CTS-V Coupe is stylistically confident and extroverted, like an American performance car should be. It doesn’t need to excuse itself by wrapping up in the Stars and Stripes. By anyone’s standards, it’s a damned good piece. Period.

We thought the Cadillac CTS coupe was the best Cadillac we have ever driven. Until we drove the CTS-V Coupe. It’s become the second best. With a powerful engine, great handling and excellent interior, it has all you could possibly ask for in a high performance coupe.

The CTS-V strikes a sweet spot between American muscle and European-bred handling. It looks classier than a ‘Stang or ‘Vette, yet you can smoke the back tires in first gear.

You may remember cars from the ’50s and ’60s like the Hemi-powered Chrysler 300 and the 421 Pontiac Bonneville. The CTS-V Coupe may be the contemporary spiritual successor to those classics – with the ruthless soul of a BMW M5.

Some critics will cry, it’s still not a BMW. Still, Cadillac has proven that it can hold its own in the same ultra-high performance circles. Indeed, we think the 2011 Cadillac CTS-V Coupe is an outstanding, no excuses, driver’s car that can stand up to all comers.
