The Cadillac XTS is a beautiful car that moves much faster than the most liberal speed law allows. It handles quite well, presents some of the most advanced automotive technology, and does it all while delivering 17 mpg in the city and 26 on the highway.

This is a car that other luxury players would be well advised to take note of. Not a car that will challenge the AMG and M vehicles for performance dominance, the 2013 Cadillac XTS is nevertheless a luxurious piece for the laidback driver.

Cadillac’s new interior design language, as advanced by the XTS, rocks pretty hard. I have also come to appreciate its controlled surface details and dignified volumes. Given the sturdy legs under the car, a little more horsepower would be welcome.
