If you’re a serious Viper collector or are looking for a relatively inexpensive race car, then yes. The Viper ACR-X would be one heck of a buy and an awesome tool to further your club-racing career, or it would look great in your car collection.

The 2010 SRT10 ACR-X is a proper fire-and-brimstone race car, devoid of the regulatory compromises that water down lesser Vipers. Pity the fool that doesn’t respect 511 cubic inches of V-10 and rear-wheel drive without any electronic oversight save ABS.

While the Dodge Viper’s future under Fiat management is uncertain, after nearly two decades of road-grinding, tire-melting action, this American reptile continues to thrill as one of the premiere performance machines of all-time.

I can’t fathom owning this tough, demanding car. But it’s also hard to imagine a world without the Viper, a raw, visceral, wildly exciting muscle/sports car that remains true to its performance-first roots.
