Ford’s added bold styling, a comfortable and attractive interior, tons of usable space, a twin-turbo V6, even more lateral grip and quicker responses to the 2010 Taurus SHO. The result is a machine greater than the sum of its parts, and the best car Ford’s ever built.

At around $9.50 a pound, the SHO is comparable in price to a good Omaha steak, A lot for a Ford but inexpensive for a domestic BMW. The Taurus SHO is a prime example of the American sports sedan.

This adults-only 2010 Ford SHO is bigger, comfier, and more laid back, yet better performing in every way than those sexier, rowdier 20th-century SHOs.

What was a docile sedan has transformed into a beastly sports car. This isn’t a rental-fleet Taurus. The Ford Taurus SHO provides enthusiast drivers with a car that could haul their families while providing fun.

Visually, the Ford Taurus SHO doesn’t make much of a fuss about its twin-turbo engine, high performance goodies and ultra high-tech gadgets. But it absolutely rips when drivers drop the hammer.

The new Ford SHO is composed, confident and as solid as a billet of aluminum. It’s great to see the Taurus name attached once again to a stylish vehicle that is likely to play a major role in helping the company gain sales and profitability.
