The 2011 Infiniti QX56 has a great powertrain. Off-the-line throttle response is satisfying, and ride comfort is impressive on the QX56, though, especially on smooth pavement.

If the luxury SUV genus is to survive for our posterity, it might as well look like the QX56. For 2011, the truck’s engineers have managed to give it the camouflage it needs to survive in a world dominated by crossovers, all while keeping the base price identical to the 2010 model.

If you want to travel in luxury, hold as many as eight people, and be able to tow up to 8,500 pounds the 2011 Infiniti QX56 certainly has plenty of power. The interior is nicely done and logically arranged, the seats are comfortable, and after spending a day aboard, we weren’t fatigued.

The 2011 Infiniti QX56 looks better, drives better and feels better in every way than the QX56 it replaces, starting at the same price as the previous model, but with more standard equipment and more really useful technology.

If you need a full-size SUV and you want luxury, the Infiniti QX is an excellent choice. Considering the size and capacity of the QX, 16 mpg city/20 mpg highway starts to look like amazing fuel economy.
