The XFR is calm and dignified in the main, loyal to the committed handler, ferocious when called on to attack. As long as we didn’t need to ask it for directions, we loved every second in it. It is, without a doubt, our favorite Jaguar sedan.

To my eyes, the XF is far more attractive than its German competitors, and is more rare, making it a more individualistic choice. The thrill of driving the XF would make it my choice in the segment. Reliability ratings haven’t been kind, but few of its competitors are trouble-free due to their complicated electronic systems.

Other than a few quibbles, I thought the Jaguar XF Supercharged was damn near perfect. If the XFR is worth $80K, then the $70K XF Supercharged is a bargain.
