The Jaguar XF Supercharged is a majorly impressive piece of machinery nearly without peer in terms of both its grace and pace. Laughably fast without being psychotic, luxurious without being gaudy and quite athletic without being unusable or silly.

The Jaguar XF’s engine seals the deal. It flies –– literally. The excitement of a power takeoff sucks the air out of your lungs. It’s like being strapped to a rocket. You leap forward and head for the horizon until it’s time to tap the brake pedal.

Sensational visual execution, rewarding driving feel, sophisticated automotive soul and an extraordinary (optional) engine make the Jaguar XF serious competition.

As the market stands, the 2010 Jaguar XF is not just a must-see in its segment, it is a must-purchase for its nearly faultless interpretation of luxury performance.

With an eye for detail and thorough dedication to all things sophisticated and powerful, the Jaguar XFR is a hit in a million and one ways, making Jaguar two-for-two since late 2008. Do we dare call it purrfect?

Despite its seamless European-style handling and road-sturdy agility that are second to none, this year’s new lineup of high-performance Jaguars XFs thrust driver safety to the forefront of its tidy roster of engineering wonders.

The 2011 XFR marks an epochal advance in appearance, performance and engineering for Jaguar. This sports sedan is better looking than the Porsche Panamera, more nimble than the BMW M5 and much cheaper than the Mercedes-Benz AMG 6.3.

The Jaguar XF Supercharged was nothing short of an asphalt-ripping sports car in the canyons. When compared to its closest German rivals, both on paper and from behind the wheel, the lone Brit unexpectedly finds itself the enthusiast’s choice.

The XF helps remind people what a Jaguar can be: Sophisticated, high tech, powerful and opulent. The only thing I hated about this particular car was giving it back.

Eighty thousand bucks is plenty to pay for any mid-sized sedan, even one with 510 horsepower. But against against the $85,700 M5 and the $85,750 E63, the XFR looks like, well, a bargain. And a beautiful one at that.

The XFR is a car you can drive every day with a smile, it gets looks from people on the street, and while it may not beat an M5 at the track, it will sure give it a run for its money. It may be the best kept secret in the European sports sedan lineup.
