The XKR-S represents the pinnacle for the brand. Jaguar’s goal of building a gentleman’s race car that you could drive to the racetrack, have some fun in, then go out and have a casual drive around town, has been successful.

This XKR-S will lift the spirits of a few score Americans, and I’m glad to have driven it. Spectacular to behold, with 550 supercharged V-8 horsepower and a top speed of 186 miles per hour, it can be considered the explosive cap to the long-running XK lineup.

The 2012 Jaguar XKR-S makes great power with its supercharged V-8 engine and backs it up with fantastic, grippy handling. Slinky styling and a throaty exhaust make this Jaguar nearly as nice to watch from the outside as it is to drive.
