Driving the Gallardo Spyder makes for a fairly singular experience. At no point did I ever feel as though I even brushed up against the car’s limits, which is a formula for utter sensory overload. But you’d expect that for 200 grand.

All of my passengers can attest, the LP560-4 is speedtacular. Everyone hopped out of the Lamborghini with a huge smile, their hands shaking just a little from the adrenaline.

Signore Balboni is rightfully proud of the Lamborghini Gallardo that honors his august career. It is the second-quickest Lamborghini ever,and nobody but your concerned and potentially disproving spouse need know the 550-2 is nowhere near as dangerous to drive as people think.

The Gallardo is always ready to snarl, and it does so in a positive, surefooted manner, thanks in part to the all-wheel-drive system. You can, of course, overdrive a Gallardo, but it’s not a car that will snap on you…no surprises.
