The IS C is quiet and compliant, and the well-lined top doesn’t creak when it’s up, even in diagonal trips up driveways. The doors shut with a reassuring thud, and the driving position is excellent.

The IS 250C is a jewel of near-perfect clarity. The design is spot on, interior features rival flagship luxury sedans, and the convertible hardtop looks great up in winter or stowed in summer.

With good looks, plenty of luxury, and a healthy dose of performance, the 2012 Lexus IS 350C certainly has a lot going for it. It is one of the most practical in its class thanks to its clever retractable hard-top, reasonably spacious trunk, superb quality, and decent ride.

If performance isn’t a major draw card for you, then you’ll be happy to know that the IS 250C offers excellent comfort and ride quality, as well as interior trim and materials that are luxury grade all the way.

With the added power of the larger V6, the IS350 C delivers plenty of luxury and refinement in a comfortable package with plenty of style. Open air driving is meant to be this enjoyable.

The Lexus IS 250 Convertible is an excellent all-around luxury open top car. It does everything well, from pampering two people comfortably, to providing more than adequate driving pleasure. It’s easy on the eyes, and if you watch what options you check, it can be fairly easy on the checkbook.

While the IS C may be priced competitively for a luxury hard-top convertible, we would be hard-pressed to say that this car could ever outperform its rivals.

The new convertible from Lexus, the IS C is a logical choice for those sun-worshippers who appreciate Lexus’ build quality and legendary customer experience.

I’m just going to come right out and say that the 2010 Lexus IS 350C was the most fun I’ve had in a car in a long time. Living with kids in this little beauty took some creativity, but we managed.

If you’re looking for a quiet, luxurious convertible — and if you don’t plan to travel with more than one passenger – - the IS C is a brilliant convertible.

Compromise is the reason that the 2012 Lexus IS 350 C appeals to those looking for a luxury convertible that’s easy to live with. If a smooth ride and a top-notch interior are your priorities, you should be pretty happy with the IS 350 C.

The Lexus doesn’t quite have the immediacy or feedback of Infiniti’s G37. On the other hand, the IS C has the expected Lexus quality, and it looks great, especially topless.
