The GL350 Bluetec rides and handles as well as anything in the full-size luxury SUV segment, and its interior is appropriately luxurious. However, a combination of limited interior space and some irritating qualities weigh on this already-heavy SUV.

There’s nothing ground-breaking about this new GL-Class. It’s not full of impressive new features, a hybrid drivetrain or even a dramatically new design. Ultimately it’s the broad range of capabilities that will draw buyers. In that regard, it has every base covered.
