The GT-R is a technological tour de force, an absolute stand-out of a performance machine made even better for 2012. If anything, it’s simply too easy to enjoy since Nissan has carefully engineered out any of the driving idiosyncrasies.

The Nissan GT-R’s incredible performance and ease of use will make it a favorite of performance junkies. That it costs less than $100,000 while achieving performance that usually costs at least twice that boggles the mind — and being able to drive it so easily blew my mind.

The Nissan GT-R is one of the most breathtaking cars you will ever drive. Its deficiencies in looks and interior quality are more than made up for when you hammer your right foot down. In a ratio of price versus performance, nothing else comes close.

The real achievement of this 2012 Nissan GT-R is not that it has been made faster but that it is now both easier to drive and more entertaining. In short, the one missing piece of the puzzle, let’s call it the human factor, has been found and added.
