Few cars go, turn, or stop as sensationally as the Porsche Cayman S, or sound as good doing them. The PDK makes the Cayman (et al) undeniably quicker and more efficient. But your left foot may end up feeling, well, left out. Mine did.

I welcome the PDK, but the fog of war that Porsche’s double clutch transmission creates, hinders the sheer joy of piloting a machine so precise and honed as the Cayman.

In short, the Porsche Cayman S is a gateway drug. It seems like everything you’ll ever want and more than you’ll ever really need. But each time you go out driving, you’ll be pushed to push a little bit harder.
