The Prius c may be the smallest and cheapest member of the Prius family, but it may also be the best. I am frequently asked what my favorite car is, and I don’t know if I have one – but the Prius c, for its reasonable price and high fuel economy, is certainly on the very short list of cars that I would buy myself.

You have to consider Prius c a success: frisky, inviting, easy to park, classier than expected, comfortable (at least in front) and faithful to its mpg promise.

The Prius C, with its sub-$20K price tag and 50-mpg endorsement, will find a boatload of interested parties. It’s no driver’s car, but it could very well be The Future delivered just a little bit early.

The Prius C is a good hybrid — a damn good hybrid, actually. And it’s an interesting — and we think very worthwhile — experiment in the subcompact segment. The Prius C makes the hard-to-measure but very real appeal of virtuousness more affordable.

The new Prius c is an excellent addition, delivering outstanding hybrid fuel economy at a much lower price point than the regular Prius. And just like every other Toyota hybrid, it actually delivers the fuel economy it promises.
