The Fusion Hybrid’s blend of beauty and brains certainly won us over. On top of its great face, loads of features, and leading fuel economy, it also is one of the best handling family four-doors ever.

We applaud Ford for jumping into the pure EV fight, and for doing so with the Focus. Already a very entertaining compact, now there’s the added bonus of never having to stop for liquid fuel.

While the sharper 2012 Ford Focus breaks little new ground, we’re very impressed with its overall execution and feel it certainly strikes towards the head of the compact car class.

We came away suitably impressed with the 2011 Fiesta. It has a lot going for it-slick style, quality interior, and plenty of chassis. It does come up short in reserve power, but boy do those MPG numbers look good.
