Infiniti M Hybrid

The M35h’s operation is fairly seamless, which is surprising, considering how thoroughly electrified the car is. And it looks identical to the M37, except for its rump badge. But let’s face it: At its price, the M35h isn’t going to sell like hotcakes.

Porsche 911
Convertible |
If you bought this GTS over a similarly equipped 2011 Carrera S, you’d save $5230. And you’d get the wider hips, nifty wheels, sport exhaust, and the Alcantara for free. It represents the best rebate you’ll ever get on a Carrera.

Volkswagen Jetta

If you can accept the cockpit downscaling, the rest of the coach-class, 115-hp, 2.0-liter Volkswagen Jetta S still feels like a proud son of Germany—albeit one made in Mexico.

Chrysler 200

With the new 200, Chrysler has transformed the Sebring from a joke to a decent-handling, compact mid-size car for those who prefer luxury trappings to sporty pretensions.

Dodge Challenger SRT8
Coupe |
The Dodge Challenger SRT8 392’s power still lives largest closer to the top end, but there’s more excitement in the midrange than ever before. And now the steering feels much more natural and lively with a quicker turn-in.

Bugatti Veyron
Coupe |
It exists mainly as an objet d’art for its owner and a one-car circus parade for the fawning public. It is perhaps the apogee of internal-combustion performance, the final word before the dawning dictatorship of electric pods. It is a Bugatti Veyron Super Sports.

Mitsubishi Outlander Sport
SUV/Truck |
In the Outlander Sport, you see no Evo and hear no Evo, which is perhaps the vehicle’s worst knock. Mitsubishi’s current identity is built around its hero car and the performance halo it throws off. The Sport needs to reflect more of it.

Nissan Juke

The Juke is fun, it’s clever, it’s roomy for a small car, it’s not nearly as slow as we expected, and it feels more expensive than it is.

Every piece of sheetmetal on the 2011 Scion tC may be new, but the car’s striking similarity to its predecessor is proof of old thinking at Toyota: We have a sales winner—don’t mess with it.

The Avalon, Toyota’s Arthurian super-Camry remains a Lexus in everything but its grille badge. Here, then, is a car for those who fondly remember the Buicks of yore.

Besides having an interior that utterly embarrasses past Chrysler products, the ’11 Jeep Grand Cherokee shares a very carlike platform with the new Mercedes-Benz ML, due this fall.

Nissan Juke

The Juke is a small pseudo-crossover with extroverted styling, satisfying power, and competent handling at a relatively low price is territory that hasn’t been explored yet. We see a compelling combination.
