With the supercharged 2010 S4, Audi has developed what is possibly the market’s most well-rounded sport sedan. The concept of sophisticated performance is jammed into every crevice of the S4.

More than a visual refresh, the 2011 BMW 5 Series packs additional power, a tastefully refined interior, and features that cover the gamut from sport to luxury, and everything in between.

The 2011 Durango is the best SUV Dodge has ever built, with modern styling, a spacious cabin, engine offerings providing decent fuel economy or generous pulling power, a bevy of creature comforts and upscale features, and a reasonable price.

We’re not sure the world really needs a Cayenne hybrid. Then again, we didn’t think there was much need for a Porsche SUV to begin with, and sales figures have clearly proven us wrong.

There’s no denying that the Kia Sorento is a overhauled people-mover that makes a statement with its stylish design, 276-horsepower V6, standard safety equipment, and affordable price.

Some shoppers will immediately dismiss the 2011 Lincoln MKT’s styling. Others, like us, will be drawn in by the unique design. What they’ll find is one of the luxury market’s best alternatives to the family friendly minivan.

The 2011 Jeep Compass is better than it was before, but still not up to par with the competition. Sexier styling, cargo space, a competitive price and off-roading chops are selling points, but there are points of weakness as well.

Unfortunately, instead of nearly 30 mpg, I averaged only 24.2 mpg over the course of a week in a 2010 RX 450h. Is that worth the extra five grand tacked onto the base price? Not in my book.

The 2011 Honda CR-Z “sport hybrid” represents an interesting concept dressed in one very sporty exterior, but its fuel economy doesn’t measure up and its handling is only noteworthy when compared to models like the Toyota Prius.
