The Pathfinder comes with a roomy interior, three rows of seats you can actually access and loads of available features. You’re not going to go offroading in this thing, at least not very far. But, of course, almost no one will try.

You might not expect much from a V6, but man, oh man, you’d be hard-pressed to find any wimpiness in the new F-150’s 365 HP Ecoboost V-6. Even the base 3.7-liter V6 was strong and surprisingly fun.

The 2011 Toyota Sienna is the best minivan out there. It has everything you could ask of such a beast and more. This is a van that will make the whole family happy.

Ford sells more Super Duty trucks than any competitor, and after a day trying out all manner of these heavy haulers, we can see why. This is not a rig for poseurs. It is for serious haulers and towers only.

The 2011 Hyundai Sonata ranges from just less than $20K to the upper $27,000s. It’s a solid deal on a good car, and if we were Toyota/Honda/Ford/etc., we’d already have bought one and torn it apart to see how worried we should be.

This thing is only going to cost $25,000 and it’s really fun. Plus the Subaru BRZ is a practical daily driver that won’t beat you up but neither will it let you down if you find a nice twisty road to drive on. What else is out there for this price that’s fun?

The outstanding thing about the Cadillac CTS Coupe is not where all the parts came from, but the styling. Yowzer! This is the most highly stylized muscle car in history. Its V6 did an admirable job of launching our sterling-silver Romulan battle pod through whatever space we aimed it.

Heck yeah, you want it. Hyundai optimized this sedan around a trio of four-cylinder engines. By concentrating on fours, it saved 50 pounds to 150 pounds of curb weight compared with a Sonata made to accommodate a V6. And the car looks nice, like a mini Mercedes-Benz CLS.

The 2011 Jaguar XJ is certainly a sportier driver than the Lexus LS 460 and the Mercedes S and CLS-class sedans and has looks that rival the Maserati Quattroporte and even the Aston Martin Rapide. Compared with some in this stratospheric class, you could even call it “affordable.”

The FR-S is affordable and it is fun. With its back seat and trunk you can even convince the spouse that it is practical. With its 25 mpg combined manual and 28 mpg combined automatic you can even say it’s economical.

The new Aston Martin Rapide sedan is every bit as smooth and sinuous to drive as it looks on a show stand or in the pages of a magazine.

The combination of powerful twin-turbo engine and sure-footed quattro drive make the Audi S8 ideal for the boss with an attitude in almost any climate. There aren’t a lot of supersedans with all-wheel drive. The S8 may be king of the class. And at $110,895 it’s the least expensive.
