Acura’s RDX is now more refined and more comfortable, while continuing to offer plenty of get up and go. Best of all, the RDX now delivers sedan-like fuel economy with improved aesthetics and a more user-friendly interior.

With the refreshed TL SH-AWD, it’s obvious that Acura has taken measures to fix what was broken without hurting what worked. They started with a very competent luxury sport sedan and made it more attractive, improved its efficiency and increased its driving dynamics.

The turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder deserves a permanent place under the hood of the 5 Series. Couple that with an excellent all-wheel-drive system and a proven chassis and the 2012 528i continues to be the main force to be reckoned with in the midsize luxury segment.

Once we did the math and studied the fuel economy numbers, we began to see how the eAssist technology might appeal to buyers. As for the Regal itself, Buick’s mid-size offering is a looker inside and out, and it may be the best-handling non sport-sedan ever to wear the TriShield.

The Verano manages to deliver upscale looks and a killer interior while at the same time offering a competitive price tag. It only helps that the Verano comes standard with hordes of tech features and all of the most desired add-ons.

While the 200’s cabin and the new Pentastar V6 are competitive, those are easily its best attributes. When it comes to looks, refinement and especially reputation, it still isn’t near the top of the mid-size food chain.

The 2011 Town & Country impressed us with more refined styling, a strong new powertrain and vastly improved interior. While it may still not be as refined a ride as the competition, Chrysler counters by offering more standard features and technology without charging a knee-buckling MSRP.

The 2012 Edge with EcoBoost takes a terrific midsize crossover to the next level. The 2.0-liter turbo proved to be a joy to exercise. Mix in its attractive, broad-shouldered stance, and it’s clear that the 2012 Edge deserves to be a powerhouse in the midsize crossover field.

The Ford Edge has transformed from an attractive crossover with a passable cabin to an even better looking crossover with more power, improved fuel economy and a truly state-of-the-art interior experience.

After a week with this new model, we’re convinced that Ford has delivered a crossover with more Flex than ever. We still enjoy the Flex for its unique looks and plush ride.

The Ford Flex Titanium has the style, amenities and performance to go toe-to-toe with models from more upscale brands. It’s even luxurious enough to make people considering its costlier cousin – the Lincoln MKT – think twice about their purchase.

The 2012 Mustang now features an impressive V6, a terrifically sorted chassis and fuel economy that’s as good as some mid-size sedans. Add in a base price under $23,000 and you’re looking at a genuine performance bargain.
