The 2013 Scion FR-S is surprisingly good. It displays a fantastic balance, with a more neutral setup than we’ve found in many cars priced at twice the FR-S’s starting point of $24,930. It’s simply a joy to drive—a real sports car.

The Nissan 370Z remains a worthwhile and engaging sports car—especially for those without a world-beating budget. Price isn’t the 2013 370Z’s only strong suit, though it remains a relative performance bargain.

Handling is perhaps the 3-Series’ best trait; it should be high on any driver’s list of fun-yet-practical cars. The redesign is largely successful, too, with a more premium look, better materials, and on the comfort front, more rear-seat space.

The Cadillac CTS-V Wagon is serious. Serious about performance despite also being serious about luxury accomodations. Serious about value. Serious about style though it can haul the kids and the groceries better than any sedan.

The 2013 Corvette accelerates and handles as you’d expect: very, very well. Inside, the Corvette shows a bit of why it costs so little for so much performance, however.
