Volvo S60
Sedan |
While competing in a small segment, the wide variety of options available for the S60, plus its solid luxury drive, powerful engine and handsome styling, make worth a serious look to a far wider group of customers.

Fans of the past several generations of the Volkswagen GTI will absolutely love the 2010 model. It looks better, rides nicer, is quieter, handles even better and has a more premium interior.

Toyota Prius V
Wagon |
The Prius v lets the car that started the hybrid movement stay on top of it, helping to meet the growing needs of some current Prius drivers, while expanding the appeal of hybrid technology to those shopping for anything from a hatchback, to a wagon, to a crossover.

2010
Toyota Prius
Hatchback |
The best part about the all new Toyota Prius isn’t the optional tech goodies or the lower price for 2010; it’s not even the superior fuel economy; it’s driving a car that doubles as a real world video game.

The new Camry is no revolution, just a solid improvement on an already great car – although Toyota can at least lay claim to being a fuel economy leader.

Subaru Legacy

Subaru’s goal of offering more interior space, better fuel-economy and a more attractive sticker price easily holds true on base Legacy models. Sadly, the top-level 3.6R is a bit disappointing.

2010
Subaru Legacy
Sedan |
In reaching out to the mass market, the Legacy, at least the entry-level 2.5i model, has lost some of its charm. But it’s also gained a great deal, not the least of which includes a smoother ride, plenty more passenger room and vastly improved fuel economy.

The iQ is designed for modern urban centers, not to mention the tastes and expectations of consumers there. Just two sticking points remain: the car’s interior and its price.

Scion FR-S
Coupe |
The Scion FR-S rewards a good driver, and is perhaps the best tool we can think of to develop and improve your performance driving skills. It’s comfortable, functional and refined. Add to this surprisingly good fuel economy and a price well below the $30,000 mark and the car’s appeal is vast.

The most special part about the FR-S is that you don’t have to add anything to the base price to have what is easily the single best performance bargain on the market. It is not just an affordable driver’s car, but the affordable driver’s car.
