I’d have to make my final decision after I spent a week with the M3, but for now, I’ll say that the 335i xDrive is the best BMW “drivers” car that I’ve driven.

This is a great car that offers luxury and honest-to-goodness driving excitement in a mid-size package while simultaneously allowing you to haul some cargo when you need to.

The Lexus HS Hybrid is a brilliant blend of luxury and hybrid economy that doesn’t really sacrifice too much in the way of performance. Slap a “Save the Planet” bumper sticker on this puppy, and drive it proudly down the road.

When you combine the performance of the Audi S4, with excellent road manners and high quality interior and exterior appointments, there isn’t much to dislike.

The GMC Yukon Hybrid performs like a truck but with a car-like ride quality. You can also have all the luxury amenities you’d want and be able to slap a Greenpeace sticker on the window. For truck owners, this is your future.

The Ford Flex EcoBoost is larger than most crossovers, gets better fuel mileage, has more power than others, and has a truly usable third row. You get a luxury ride, roomy cabin and excellent fit and finish.

The new Audi S5 Cabriolet is an outstanding car. It has exceptional engine performance, wonderful handling characteristics, excellent cabin appointments, superior trunk room and the versatility of a usable back seat in one package, albeit an expensive one.

The Lexus IS 250 Convertible is an excellent all-around luxury open top car. It does everything well, from pampering two people comfortably, to providing more than adequate driving pleasure. It’s easy on the eyes, and if you watch what options you check, it can be fairly easy on the checkbook.

The Chevrolet Camaro SS well executed and mechanically refined. It’s a blast to drive fast and pleasant to drive slowly. At just over $32,500 as tested, you get a lot of bang for that buck.

The Audi Q5 separates itself from the other German offerings by being much more user friendly and comfort oriented. It pampers you with a well dampened ride and still manages to hold up under hard driving.

The 2009 Volkswagen Eos is an excellent choice for fun open air driving for thousands less than a 1-Series BMW.

The new 5 Series once again finds the perfect middle-ground between the smaller 3 Series and larger 7 Series. You get plenty of power from the 535i’s engine and excellent handling similar to the smaller 3 Series, yet you can dial up the luxury, technology, and status of the flagship model.
