The new 2011 BMW 5-Series really impressed me. Here’s something you will rarely see me write: even at $73,300, this car is worth every single penny based on quality and driving enjoyment.

The E-Class Cabriolet is the very definition of exceptional. During my road test I was utterly unable to find anything wrong with the car, this veritable marvel of German engineering. Mercedes-Benz may just have found the recipe for automotive perfection.

Granted, it’s a Mercedes, but the SLS AMG is definitely one of the brand’s most impressive products. It’s an exceptional sports car with heavenly driving dynamics on the track and even a forgiving attitude.

The Subaru Outback remains true to the idea of creating a very practical vehicle for active families who don’t want to compromise. Not only is it fun to drive, this is a car that will do many a favour for its owner.

The 2010 Acura ZDX really stands out from the crowd, including all these hot new extravagantly-styled, coupe-like SUVs/CUVs. The delightfully-sharp angles and inherent femininity will no doubt attract a lot of potential buyers.

Regardless of the engine or trim level, the 2011 Ford Mustang unquestionably delivers the goods. While appealing to nostalgic fans, it capitalizes on all the latest advancements at Ford. It’s the very definition of evolution.

Volkswagen has, once again, managed the tour de force of developing one of the most enjoyable cars to drive for an entirely reasonable price. The GTI is a people’s car – but for people who like to drive.

The 2011 Mazda2 is by no means a racing machine and the cargo area isn’t particularly big. It’s not all about numbers, though. It still feels lively and energetic thanks to an ultra-sharp steering, a pleasantly-calibrated suspension and superior soundproofing.

Refined, comfortable and on the right side of sporty, the 2010 Hyundai Tucson is definitely a lot of SUV for not a whole lot of money.

This little SX4 Aero offers a combination of features that is sure to please. However, I’m sure there are a lot of people who visit their local Suzuki dealer and go home empty-handed despite all its great qualities: it is very, very expensive.
