Nissan 370Z
Coupe |
The Nissan 370Z makes a statement like no other car with an under $30k base price. The latest incarnation of the Z has brought this car very close to the level of its big brother GTR.

Audi Q5
SUV/Truck |
The wonderful thing about the Q5 is you can have your cake and eat it too. Audi’s little luxury sport-ute is a docile people mover on any given work day, but turns into an admirable performer up through the mountains and curvy roads after leaving the office.

Acura RL
Sedan |
The Acura RL is smooth and has predictable power, a solid but staid interior and exterior, and enough technology to provide safety and comfort for a great daily driving experience. However, it doesn’t stand out.

Chevrolet Volt
Hatchback |
The Volt has a unique look, drives smoothly, accelerates well, makes entertaining Transformers sounds, and is reasonably comfortable. The car makes you feel eco-smart right from the start. But it does have some first year teething issues.

Nissan Leaf
Hatchback |
The LEAF is easy to drive, has light steering and feels zippy around town. But its biggest difficulty is the inconvenience of charging.
